The development of competence became a demand for the teacher since the development on education world was going on. So, to run their role maximally and produce a high achievement of learning the development of teacher competence should be appropriate with the dynamically of education world. The development of teacher competence can be done through various models of learning, lesson study and increasing the role of MGMP.
Developing teacher competence through various model of learning
As a mathematics teacher, they need to do an innovation that can produce a learning method which appropriate with the currently trend on the education sector. The one of ways that can be used by the teacher to perfecting the model of learning are by doing classical research. By doing this classical research the teacher can analyze and increase their teaching style aspect, and also learning about teaching skill for special student.
Developing teacher competence through lesson study
Lesson study is the one of ways to develop teacher competence with international conception. At an international level lesson study became the one of methods that used to develop teacher competence, which is the lecturer, education expert and teacher from various country collaborate doing research, and discuss about how to produce good method for teaching learning process.
Developing teacher competence through maximize the rule of MGMP
MGMP has a strategic rule for the development of teacher profession. To optimize this rule of MGMP, its need to be developed a visionary paradigm that is a view which is could transforming from the old paradigm to prepare the future and also to compete the fact of having fallen behind. Some points of new paradigms are describes that on the MGMP organization should be developed such as:
1. sense of connectivity, a systemic organization that can be a connection among stake holder of mathematics education
2. sense of service, be able to give a response for the needed of their members development
3. sense of innovation, can be a pioneer who was implement the new paradigm of education
4. sense of mobility, the needed of MGMP development to be supported by informatics technology and communication.
