                Lesson study is the effort to develop the ability of the teacher on the teaching learning by doing a research and reflected it. The purpose of lesson study is to increase the service of the teacher to the student needed.

                The most important of lesson study is the corporation of teacher each other or between the teacher and the lecture to observe, to investigate and to reflect the implementation of teaching learning process. This is step by step the teacher should do to apply lesson study:

1.       Preparation stage, for example produce a lesson plan

2.       Implementation stage, in this stage the teacher doing real teaching learning in the class, while the other teachers doing observation.

3.       Reflection and Reparation I stage, on this stage the teacher and also the lecture doing a discussion.

4.       Reflection and Reparation II stage, the other teacher doing real teaching learning process while the other doing observation.

Lesson study is done to giving an innovation on the education through increasing the process of teaching learning. There are relevant paradigms such as: student centered, constructivist, realistic mathematics, contextual teaching learning.

The innovation of lesson study can be done if: there are open minded teacher, there are high commitment of the teacher, there are development of infra system to support, a support from all components.

Lesson study needs a theme such as: how to develop mathematics attitude, how to develop learning mathematics method, or how to develop assessment.

So to support lesson study the teacher need to understand about the nature of motivation, the nature of apperception, the nature of discussion, the nature of group discussion, the nature of student participation or involvement, the mature of students construction, the nature of aim education, and the nature of obligation versus need. For well lesson study developing process there are need some publication, the take a share of stake holder, open house of lesson study, MGMP, the commitment of the school and the corporation with university (LPTK).
