Nowadays the dinamica of Indonesia development demand that the development of curicullum sould pay attention on the most up to date issued on education, the reality problems, school variation, the staff of education, the ability of student and also demand of sociaty development, science and technology. Mathematics education which is based on competency press on the ability of the graduate must have, so the currilulum develop based on the break down of the standard competency to be a base ability like an affective ability, cognitive and also psychomotor. The syllabus of mathematics subject need to arrange so that is including the board line of learning content and refer to the purpose of competency.
Ebbute and Staker (1995, 10-63) define a mathematics school as an investigation of pattern activity, mathematics as a creativity which is need imagination, intuition and invention, mathematics as a problem solving activity, mathematics as a media of communication. Ebbute and Straket also give their view that to optimal the potency of the student, the teacher should assumption that student will learn mathematics if they have motivation, the student will learn mathematics with their own way, the student learn mathematics individually and also on group, the student need the different context and situation on the learning of mathematics.
This based on competency curriculum arrange in order to on the process of learning mathematics the student can doing an investigation activity, developing their creativity, doing a problem solving activity, and also communicate their mathematics idea to another people. To reach this competency we need to develop mathematics learning process which is appropriate with the context and also the application on the daily activities.
For all level of education, the content of mathematics education are including (Ebburt and Straker, 1995): facts, concepts, reasoning skill, algorithm skill, problem solving skill, investigation skill.
Experience and learning activity is an activity that the students need to do to reach the base competency and the content of learning. And we should realize that the student learning experience should be supported by available sources.
